Measured from one armpit to the other.
Sleeve length
Measured from the armpit down the sleeve.
Length of the torso
Measured from collar down to hem.
Waist
Measured by the internal circumference of the waist area.
Length
Measured from crotch seam to hem or from waistline to hem on dresses and skirts.
